... the coffee bean must take after his/her dad. I've been off work 2 weeks already and amm ready to not be pregnant!
And yes, I've tried all the usual 'bring it on' things...
Inducement on Mon/Tues if no sign by then. Would really prefer it all to just happen... c'mon, bean.

Ugh. I hope you don't have to be induced, Coffee. I was induced with three mine and it's not a lot of fun. Get the drugs if they do wind up inducing you. Pitocin brings on labour hard. You go from 0 - 60 in no time and it's not even remotely comfortable.
C'mon, coffeebean, make an appearance already. Your mother is getting uncomfortable and you know how mothers are - she'll never let you forget it.

Alien was due to be induced on a thursday so she decided to pull a fast one and make her appearance on the wednesday.
The missus said that a long soak in a bath followed by some rumpy pumpy helped.
Good luck with everything. If its a boy, I may allow him to step out with my princess in 25 years or so.

Good luck coffee! I'm dying to hear of the arrival of the coffee bean! Mind you, I've told people in your "old job" about it and everyone just says: "fuck off!! Coffee!!! Pregnant!! Fuck off!!
basically lots of disbelief among your old colleagues.
Rooting for you :)

No-one seems to want to try out my suggestion of scaring the little darlings out - get the daddy to hide somewhere and jump out and you and shout "BOO" - I'm betting labour will start instantly.
Best of luck with it, Coffee - am keeping my fingers crossed it all starts very soon for you - can't wait to see pics of little Beanie :)

I was a first baby and two or three weeks overdue. Mind you, I'm informed that I arrived within three hours of the first contraction.

Be patient you lot. Baby will come when baby is ready. Timing of birth date is an inexact science that has hardly changed at all in several centuries.
(unless baby is 2 weeks overdue in which case patience will be officially no longer in order)

I was impatient, or so the mother says. I think it had something to do with Toxaemia, and the fact that no baby on her side of the family has ever made it to full term. Two weeks early is about as long as we'll hold out, according to family myth/legend.
