My prediction for next season is that Ron Dennis will be mown down outside his home by a crazed Englishman in a borrowed T-reg Mini Clubman. He'll linger (or malinger)in the ICU for a week or two, and then fade quickly...

So many stories in the past few days....

*2 days ago Jacques was apparently set to re-sign with BAR and not go to Benneton...now the news that BAR will have to share works Honda engines with Jordan next season may push him back to Benetton who have reportedly offered him £23million....


*Ron I'm-a-big-baby Dennis is now saying that Schumacher may move to McLaren at some point in the future, say 2002 when his contract finishes at Ferrari....which is odd considering the other day he said he foresees Mika and DC finishing their careers with McLaren....obviously Mika is expected to retire soon then.....

* More trouble for Prost....Gauloises, their chief sponsor, may pull out this year....

* Heinz-Harald Frentzen has confirmed that he will make a decision on his Formula 1 future in the next two weeks.

and best of all.....

* McLaren have ordered double world champion Mika Hakkinen to get some rest and relaxation in a bid to halt his recent slide in form.......ahhhhhhh....

Strange grasss, I read somewhere the other day that HH has re-signed to Jordan despite being offered shitloads more dosh from someone else (Jag I think, but amn't certain).

Of course, I was being the internet surf queen and can't remember where I read this...

Heinz-Harald Frentzen has confirmed that he will make a decision on his Formula 1 future in the next two weeks.

The German ace, in his second season with Jordan, is thought to be close to signing a contract extension with the Silverstone outfit – although he has been linked to a number of other teams, including Jaguar.

But Frentzen has admitted that his decision will be heavily influenced by the new Honda engine deal that Jordan secured last week.

Speaking in Autosport magazine Frentzen said: “I’m very happy for Jordan that they’ve earned this engine,” he said. “It is certainly another valuable point that Jordan has a works engine in the future, and this is clearly in my consideration.”

Team boss Eddie Jordan, keen to retain Frentzen’s services, said: “He’s a fabulous guy. I’m convinced that given the right equipment he can win the title.”
