so will the oilers do what no-one has done since 1942 and win the series after being 3-1 down?

I would think so. It could either drag them down, or give them something to prove. tonight will tell.

have to admit that I love a game 7. everything on the line. And I prefer overtime in game 7. Just to get the ulcers going.

And just for good measure, the tying goal should be scored with 2 seconds left on the clock. Yes. Pure hockey heaven.

This is the 14th time a Stanley Cup final has been extended to a seventh and deciding game. In the previous 13, the home team has won 11 times.
surprised at that - would have imagined it would have gone to 7 more often

They publish the value guides for sports collectables. All sports. 50,000 subscribers for Hockey I think, and most in Canada.
I have an issue from about 92 or so. Don Cherry on the back cover. Had the interesting pleasure of having lunch with him and having the Becketts autographed.

now we will see if they are right. They figure if their wrong, the value of the book will skyrocket anyway. Just the Beckett books are collectables and some bring heavy dough. I have some old ones from Gretsky's prime, among others. Haven't bought one in at least ten years though.
Buy one now..juts in case they are wrong. $5. cheap

No, but he did go on about European players, and women who get hit by pucks because they can't stop yakking long enough to watch the game. And a few other goodies. It was in Sudbury, Ontario and he played in the American League with a guy from there..Cummy Burton...
He was actually quite interesting. He was there for the Grand Opening of the Don Cherry's restaurant. Before we went to the dealership We went to a Tim Hortons to get coffee at the counter. The girl goes "Oh my gosh, are you Don Cherry?" n He says "Yes, I am." Some guy down the counter leans forward and says, "That aint Don Cherry, just somebody that looks like him. What would Cherry be doing in a shithole like Sudbury>" Cherry laughed and shook his head. "Only in Sudbury."
