Facial Advice????

I'm going for my first facial (albeit a "mini one") tomorrow, and have heard that they can play havoc with your skin. A friend has them frequently and her skin sometimes gets quite red and blotchy - is this always the case?

My concern of having a beetroot face is because have a dinner thing to go to that and will need to wear at least a little make-up - is it ok to wear make up? or do you need to let your skin settle?

Any advice/views on past experiances would appreciated....

Don't get a facial the same day as your event, particularly if you're not sure what way your skin will react. My skin gets sensitive after a facial one day and then doesn't the next, so I'm not really sure what the deciding factor is

Facials offer deep cleansing and all that bollocks, so it's best to have them done a week or so before any event to give your skin time to respond and any blemishes to go.

Yep, can't put makeup on after a facial and you'll probably be splotchy. I would cancel.
