WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry called Wednesday for deeper tax cuts for the middle class than proposed by President Bush and described his Republican critics as "the most crooked ... lying group I've ever seen." The chairman of Bush's re-election campaign called on Kerry to apologize "for this negative attack."

Yeah...but.....they are the most lying deceiving group of arseholes to walk the planet. IMHO. :)
Not to mention that the Republicans accusing anyone of dirty tactics and negative campaigning is sort of like the pot calling the kettle black.

Well Said - Republican's are a bunch of snivelling, whining wankers - to put it lightly.

President Bush (news - web sites) unleashed the first negative ads of the general election campaign on Thursday, accusing Democratic rival John Kerry (news - web sites) of seeking to raise taxes by $900 billion and wanting to "delay defending America."
"John Kerry: Wrong on taxes. Wrong on defense," says a female announcer in a new 30-second ad that will begin airing in battleground states.
A second ad, also premiering Thursday, tells voters they face choices on the economy, health care and the war on terrorism.
"We can go forward with confidence, resolve and hope. Or we can turn back to the dangerous illusions that terrorists are not plotting and outlaw regimes are no threat," Bush says in the second ad, without mentioning Kerry by name.

I truly doubt it. I think his negative campaig, an effort to deflect criticism of his shabby performance, will backfire on him. I pray. I tell you this....if he wins, I will take out Canadian citizenship. I would be too embarrassed to carry an American passport any longer. And it's not just Bush. It's the whole right wing Republican assault on the country. It sickens me. Nothing short of the Taliban lite in waiting.

I'm starting to feel about Bush losing this election the way I feel about the Red Sox winning the world series. I reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally want it to happen, but I'm afraid to talk about it for fear of jinxing the whole thing.
Hey, my husband (awww, I get to call him that now, *gooey*) is Canadian. Can I get a Canadian passport thru him? Cause I will...

You would have to move to Canada, apply for residence and then after a certain number of years, apply for citizenship. So, the short answer. No! lol Sorry. I wish you could. :)m

My brother's coming home for a week just before the election so I'll be doing my best to brainwash him into voting for Kerry. The fecking eejit voted Bush last time around.

you cannot have a passport if you are not a citizen.
Proof of Canadian citizenship and identity for travel
A Canadian passport is the internationally accepted evidence of your Canadian citizenship, as well as providing the best possible photo identification. If you are travelling outside Canada, even to the United States, the Canadian federal government Department of Foreign Affairs recommends that you carry a passport valid for at least six months beyond your expected return date.
What you need to complete your Canadian passport application
As well as the completed application form, to apply for a Canadian passport you also must submit passport photos, documents proving your citizenship and identity, and have a guarantor sign your application, a photo and any photocopies.
The following documents must be submitted with your passport application form, photos and fee. Check ahead of time that you have all the necessary documents, and allow extra time if you need to apply for one of these documents before making your passport application.
Original Proof of Canadian Citizenship
If born inside Canada - either a birth certificate or Certificate of Canadian Citizenship. If born outside Canada - a Certificate of Canadian Citizenship, a Certificate of Naturalization, a Certificate of Retention of Canadian Citizenship or a Certificate of Registration of Birth Abroad
All Canadian travel documents issued to you in the last five years, such as a passport or certificate of identity.
At least one document to support your identity. Documents to support your identity must be issued by a federal, provincial or municipal government and include your name and signature. A provincial driver's licence is a good example. Original documents will be returned to you. If you submit photocopies, your guarantor must sign and date the photocopies to show that the originals have been seen.
