I possess two tarot decks and have been using them for a few years, mostly for myself or for friends. I find that the archetypes in them provide great insights and their predictive ability is not too bad either when used correctly.
Also as a member of a forum that is interested in energy healing, chakras, reiki and the like I wonder if there are many others who share my interest on here. I have been at a Reiki 1 session and it was a very intense experience. Afterwards it was like being high on drugs - I felt very giggly and lightheaded.
I like aromatherapy but don't tend to be into the whole crystals thing much, apart from thinking they look nice :)
So any other kooky people out there?

I'm not really into that kinda think. I think there may be some substance to it, but a lot of the effect could just be in your head.
That said I don't mind messing around with Tarot, but I have a rabid fear of ouija boards.

local tarot reader scarily accurate- and I'm very sceptical about these things...feel it is occult linked and am very very wary

I think it's a load of old tosh myself, but if it makes people happy I wouldn't dream of stopping them. I guess I'm just a grumpy, scientific sort who's skeptical nature prevents him from thinking too much about magic or spirtiual healing.

Gingette had the cards read for her recently and it was scarily accurate. She even predicted the birthday present I bought for her. Fckin bitch ruining my surprise for me!!!
I don't go for it myself. I like logic too much!

idee, you surprise me. I would have had you pegged as more of a rationalist.
I've used the I Ching, but not as a tool for divination. More a sort of meditative exercise. I'd hesitate to call much of this stuff a bunch of arse, but I wouldn't hesitate *too* long.

I don't believe in anything like that, the occult, withcraft, etc., I think everything can be explained through physics, even that sense of deja vue some people get,
BUT...I once owned 13 different Tarot packs, all gifts, because many people get the impression I'm kind of witchy. I think cards are just a way of focusing, of giving confidence, so that your mind is clear and picks up on subtle signals from the person you do the read on. Their breathing, a slight change of expression, all those things anyone would notice if they were very attentive, which is probably why some people think I'm witchy.

People who deal in this kind of thing are generally very good at picking up subtle hints in what you say and how you act and base their "predictions" on this. Its all a load of cobblers IMO, but, if it makes you happy, off ya go.

I've always been into the occult & paranormal. Am studying witchcraft at the moment in fact. Have 2 sets of tarot at home myself though haven't been using them much lately. Did have another older set but they became tainted so I had to burn them. Pity, they were my favourite set n all!

My mother reads "Angel" cards, which I'm really sceptical about because everything they say is positive.

I don't like that you put reiki and tarot in the same group. I have zero time for tarot, but have just completed level 1 of reiki. It's not that I "believe" in reiki, I believe *everyone* has the power to heal, some more strongly than others.
When I was in my teens I was obsessed with knowing my futre. I now know that only I can make my future. What's right for me will come to me.

I won't say what I feel about people who believe in tarot for risk of offending said people

Last Halllowe'en I bit into a cheap gold-effect ring while eating my brack. That means I'll be next married.
I've decided to commence divorce proceedings just to be prepared, because the brack never lies. I wonder what she'll be like?
