Landlady from hell gagged for harassing B&B rival

Mr O'Connell, a former wildlife ranger and marathon runner, said he was sitting in the garden of his B&B at Muckross Drive, Killarney, on the afternoon of June 4 when Ms McSweeney burst out the back door of her next door B&B.

She said he should go in and talk to his "baldy wife", he told Killarney District Court.

"My wife was after having cancer and had no hair," said Mr O'Connell

Garda Peter McCarthy said that when he called to Ms McSweeney's house on June 8 he cautioned her and was told in reply that the gardai were "a crowd of abusers".

"As I passed the window she stuck up her two fingers and stuck out her tongue," Garda McCarthy said.

When my Ma had chemo she used to chase me 'round the house with her wig.. which, incidently she'd styled so close to her original hair that you could barely tell the difference - the sight of her popping it on the head of my 13 year old brother to style it though was hilarious!
