Disclaimer - I know nothing about rugby

Was driving through D4 yesterday afternoon, saw all these people coming out of Landsdowne. Right, is this soccer or rugby? Rugby, I surmised, by all the people wearing 'Bank of Scotland' tops. Where's all the Irish fans, I asked myself? Then, while stopped at lights, I realised that all these apparently Scottish fans had Irish accents. Then later, I watch the news, and realise that it's a Leinster team playing French Perpignan. But they have 'Bank of Scotland' on their jerseys.

How confusing...

I agree. I was most confused when I saw sports news one nght. I thought O2 and Vodaphone had decided to sort out the rights to the mobile phone networks through the medium of football.

To be fair, it's Bank Of Scotland (Ireland), who employ a large number of people here, and are solely responsible for a drop in mortgage rates in this country.

They can be from Djibouti for all I care.

Reminds me of my sister, who knows nothing about any sport, in Ireland on holiday from London last week.

She was wondering what a "Permanent tsb" was!

Hey, I have no beef with Bank of Scotland. Just found it weird to see an Irish team with 'Scotland' on their shirts. Mind you, I always do a double-take when I see 'Holland' on the back of an Irish football shirt too.

So TSB is permanent, and there's no known cure?
