Well, yesterday I was working - today I am on garden leave.

Got a call from the CEO yesterday - "Its difficult to do etc.. we are letting you go". Two weeks notice and pack your bags.

So I am being paid up to the end of the month. I have a reasonable payoff, but its not a great time looking for jobs at the moment.

On the bright side - I hated the job and particularly the CEO, so its no great losss. In fact I was going to leave if an opportunity arose. Leaving and getting a wedge of cash is not too bad - as long as something else comes around the corner.

So, yesterday I went home and joined the library !! For some books to catch up on and free internet access - this comes to you from a Dublin Library - great places..

Posts will be irregular as seo amach..

Cadence - good luck job hunting. A friend of mine was let go last year - the jammy bastard was literally writing his intention to leave when senior management decided to shut up shop. He ended up getting two months wages, and made a smooth transition one job to the next.

Enjoy the free time in the meantime.

I was in the same situation about this time last year. Best of luck with the job hunt - but make sure to enjoy the time you have off for now... [putting on best advice hat] books, cooking and long walks are a good idea. Also, if you're into getting fit - now's a good time to start. Buy some weights and start a training regime - it kills a lot of time and you feel like you've accomplished a lot.

All the best Cadence, new opportunity for bigger and brighter things.

Good luck!
