German international Christian Ziege today completed his long awaited £4million move to Tottenham Hotspur from Liverpool.


The 29-year-old left-back passed a medical and signed a three-year contract after talks with Spurs manager Glenn Hoddle late last night.

Ziege said: 'With Spurs I can play in my position on the left of the centre of midfield. Hoddle wants to structure a young squad around Teddy Sheringham and me as experienced players.'

The German will officially become a Tottenham player on August 1st but Reds boss Gerrard Houllier has allowed Ziege to immediately join his new team-mates in training.
