Of course, you're all talking complete sense. Just needed it reaffirmed in my mind. Actually maybe I could take my daughter to Dublin for a bit while they're away. I could take some of my due holidays.

Turn up with a good lookin woman and rub her nose right back in it...no - just go and show her that you're a stronger/better person than she is and your daughter will love to have your attention all day, especially as her mum will be slightly pre-occupied !!!

haven't a clue about your relationship with her...but i don't think you would invite an ex just to be polite.

Good morning everyone. I trust that everyone is in fine form, even if the weather is less than perfection itself.
I have a question: the mother of my daughter is getting married and I have been invited. I'm delighted for her and the new man is very nice and we've had a few drinks together. But should I go?

From the whole tenor of your post, Adonis, doesn't sound like there's a reason you shouldn't, for everyone's sake. Just a question of whether you wanna spectate...

Just feel that perhaps I shouldn't intrude on their day.

Who's intruding? You've been invited!
Plus, wouldn't your daughter love to see you?

If she's invited you, go.

Well, it sounds like her family is the only consideration for you here Adonis. If you can steel yourself and rise above the bastards, then definitely you ought to go.

Rubbing your nose in what? the fact that she's getting married?
I think it's great that you seem to get on, for your daughter's sake.

I say to go for the daughter. You're better than her family.

Anyway, talking of weddings, I have to get to the airport to go to one. Play nicely kids, and speak to you all on Monday!! (And best of luck, Adonis!)
